Donation rules:
The OLQP St. Vincent de Paul Conference is once again joining with others across the nation to promote the “Souper Bowl of Caring”. This program was started in 1990 to raise funds and awareness of those less fortunate in contrast to the extravagance of the Super Bowl football game, and has become the largest celebration of giving and caring for those in need. Over $193 million has been raised nationwide to assist the poor and needy in the last 33 years. Vincentian representatives will be collecting donations after all masses. All monies raised will be spent to assist those in need in our area. Thank you for your support!
Our Lady Queen of Peace is inviting you to a warm homemade meal on Saturday, February 10 after 5:00pm Mass in the cafeteria. This “Poverty Meal” is a FREE meal to help feed and support our Parish community. Come join us for various soups, chilis, breads, and desserts. We will be collecting free-will donations to help support our parish families in need and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. St. Vincent de Paul Society is a Catholic volunteer organization, which leads individuals to join together to offer person- to-person service to the poor and the suffering of all faiths. The goal is to help individuals lift themselves out of poverty through systemic change. If you are interested in making a free-will donation, we are suggesting a donation that would match what you would spend on a meal if you were to eat out at a restaurant with your loved ones. We hope to see you there!
Our parish calendar is full of opportunities to bring our community together to celebrate the Lord and support each other.
