Choir & Music Ministry

Music ministers are singers and musicians of all ages who assist in leading the congregation to participate in the musical aspects of our liturgical celebrations.  Contact: Bob Ellison,

Church Cleaners

The mission of the Church Cleaners is to maintain a neat and clean environment for parish worship by providing rotating teams of about five workers, each team working one day a month, to dust, vaccum, wash windows and provide other general cleaning.  Membership for this ministry is open to men & women of all ages. Eucharistic Minister (18 years & Confirmed)

Extraordinary Ministers of of the Eucharist are ministers of Holy Communion. They assist at mass during communion.  Specially trained Eucharistic Minister also assist with communion calls to the sick and homebound.  Contact: Jim & Carol England

Liturgy Committee

The Liturgy Planning Committee meets quarterly to plan the masses for each liturgical season and special feast/events.  We coordinate with the all the individual ministries involved with celebrating the mass. The goal of the committee is to plan liturgical and sacramental celebrations in such a way as to foster full pariticipation of all parishioners. Contact: Pastor, Fr. Dennis Schmidt 636-671-3062.


Proclaimers of the Word are ministers (from teens to adults) of God's Word.  They make announcements, read the scripture readings, and in the absence of a deacon, proclaim the Prayers of the Faithful. Contact: Don Moeller,


Ushers & Greeters are ministers of hospitality and order.  They provide the first welcome to all entering the Church and serve the needs of the assembly by making sure the Church is in good order for each celebration, Taking up the collection and assisting the congregation as needed. Altar Server

Boys and girls from grade 4 and above who assist the priest at the liturgy. Contact: Parish Office at 636-671-3062 or

Adult Altar Server

Men and women who assist at weekday Mass or Funeral masses to enhance the worship of our faith community. Contact: Parish Office at 636-671-3062 or


Berevement Group

The bereavement support group, under the direction of trained bereavement specialists and with the aid of parish volunteers, provides six week long sessions for the grieving twice a year. Contact: Linda Weber, 


Funeral Luncheon Committee

This group of parishioners provide parish families with a meal after the celebration of a loved one's funeral.  They provide the first outreach on the part of the parish to the bereaved.

Athletic Association

The Athletic Association is a goup of parishioners who coordinate parish sports programs, maintain the fields,  athletic facilities and equipment; as well as promote sportsmanship and fair play among children and adults alike. Contact: Tom Johnson,


Young Adults

Our goal is to make th young adults more present in the parish (and throughout Jefferson County area parishes). The primary focus is to find out what it is young Catholics in our area are seeking and brainstorm how we can help fulfill their needs through mass, prayer, and special events.  Our mission is to renew traditions in within the parish to draw more interests from adults ages 18-35. High School Youth Ministry

We offer our High school and middle school students with opportunities to strengthen their Catholic Faith and to share their talents with the parish and wider community.  We meet for faith sharing, participate in the Steubenville youth conference, host summer service opportunities and leadership opportunites for our youth.   Contact: James Bolte,

St. Vincent DePaul Youth Chapter

The SVDP Youth Chapter is for teens (13-20 years) who want to be associate members of the international organization. Their purpose is to support the SVDP conference through fundraising events and assisting the Jefferson County Community Action Councilm, the OLQP outreach program, and other activities as needed. Facilities & Maintenance

This committee works to provide an assessment and plans of parish maintenance and improvement needs. They also provide the formation of an longterm plan to manage parish resources that provide and maintain a safe and healthy environment for parish activities.  

In the task of managing parish maintenance, the committee oversees & prioritizes all maintenance work, recruits skilled parishioners and/or arranges contracts with professional service providers for any repairs and improvements that cannot be safely or effectively handled by parish maintenance staff. Finance Council

Advises the Pastor on all decisions involving fundraising and expediture of parish funds.  It is the particular function of the council to make sure that the parish operates within budget, to advise on all matters of capital expenditures, and to formulate procedures and policies affecting the financial well-being of the parish. Hospitality/Welcome Committee

Coordinates and directs parish efforts in hospitality and creating a warm and friendly atmosphere, especially in communicating with perspective and new parishioners.  This re-enforces our parish's efforts in embracing and living the Gospel together as a Christian Community. Contact: Mary Terry

Stewardship Committee

In promoting the virtue of Stewardship, we promote the giving of one's Time, Treasure & Talent to the church. This Committee is charged with educating the parish about costs involved with providing parish services, promote a sense of ownership of the parish through committed and responsible contributions, and increase involvement in the parish through recruitment offeorts for the various ministries & organizations in the community.  Contact: Donna Larson,


Catholic Social Response Committee

This ministry reseaches and provides basic information to parishioners on Life skills and social issues that are pertenant to us as Catholics in today's world.  They maintain a library of resources and provide referral to needed services upon request. they also organize peakers and workshops for those coping with significant life issues that pro viote Catholic Social Teachings and Social Justice for the entire parish. Daughters of Isabella

The Daughters of Isabella is an International Catholics Women's Organization that promotes spiritualism , social and charitable events.  Membership is open to women, 16 years of age or older. Contact: Kathy Pyatt via Parish Office 636-671-3062.

Eucharistic Adoration

Every Wednesday from 9:00AM to 8:00PM.  The Blessed Sacrament is exposed and adored by volunteers who sign up for one hour or more to pray before the Lord Jesus present in the Monstrance. We would like to have two people sign up for every hour to make sure someone is always present. Contact: Mary Myers,

ACTS Retreats

OLQP and St. Anthony's Parishes offer the ACTS weekend retreats for both men and women anually. This parish-based retreat energizes particiants in the Catholic faith. It offers the opportunity to renew your spiritual and prayer life, to strengthen your faith and its applications in your daily life, and to build lasting friendships among members of the parish community. It is presented by members of both parishes with the spiritual direction from the pastors. Contact: Sue Syers,

Fish Fry/Dinners Committee

This group of parishioners plan and organize the Lenten fish fries and other parish dinners and social events.  The committee is broken into the specialities of Publicity, kitchen preparation & volunteer recriutments.  In addition to fundraising and enhancing parish life, the committee works to promote parish unity through increased opportunities to socialize and be involved with fellow parishioners in a significant aspect of parish life. Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal benefit society offering mutual social, financial and intellectual support to its members and their families.  Through outreach efforts, the Knights provide support to local churches as well as dignifficant relief for those in need, locally and globally.  The local council provides support to the parish through fundraisers and scholarship programs, has adopted an outreach program for mentally handicapped children, and actively promotes pro-life activities and programs. Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary

The Ladies Auxiliary is a group of women who assist the Knights in their charitable and fundraising efforts, and likewise, provide mutual support for its members. Contact: Sue Whitworth.

St. Vincent DePaul Society

SVDP Society is an international organization of lay Catholics dedicated to direct service to the poor.  The OLQP conference handles requests for food, prescription medicine, utility bill assistance, and other required assistance as funds are available. Contact: Ann Love, 

Gala Auction

A fun and interactive way to meet people of the community and support the parish!  This event is filled with numerous silent and oral auction items for bidding, raffle and more!Many people are needed to help make this event a success.  People are needed for both behind the scene tasks in advance of the auction as well as those visible on auction night.  This is also a large fund-raising event for the Parish!
